Ultras of the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) and security
forces today exchanged fire in Gumla district during anti-Naxalite operation in neighbouring areas.
There was no casualty on any side during the encounter that took place in the district's Kamdara police station area around 9 am, police said here.
The ultras, belonging to a Naxalite faction, fled from the scene after half-an-hour, leaving behind two guns.
The encounter took place during joint combing operations in neighbouring districts, the police said.
