ShareRae Bareilly: A vehicle in Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's cavalcade today collided with a police jeep in Gauriganj town of the district, but no one was hurt.
"A green colour SUV in Priyanka's cavalcade collided with a police jeep when she was going to Fursatganj this morning," officials said.
The incident occurred when the driver of the vehicle in the front suddenly slammed the brakes, they said, adding the SUV was two vehicles behind 37-year-old Priyanka's bullet-proof Safari.
Describing the incident as a serious security breach, Congress leaders expressed grave concern and demanded a probe
"as to how a police vehicle intruded into the Special Protection Group-protected cavalcade".
The leaders from Rahul Gandhi's Lok Sabha constituency Amethi and Rae Bareli, represented by Sonia, said a complaint would be lodged by the SPG in this regard.
