Two Maoists killed in Orissa encounter

Two Maoists were today killed in a fierce encounter with security forces in a forested and hilly area of Orissa's Keonjhar district.

The encounter took place after special operations group personnel and the police raided the Pancham hills in Rebana-Palaspal forest in Daitary area, about 60km from Keonjhar.

The bodies were found after the encounter which lasted seven hours.

A search was being made in the forest to ascertain if there were more bodies or injured Maosists.
