House collapses in Jamalpur, 2 die

Two people were killed and one injured when their two-storey house collapsed near Kach ni Masjid area in Jamalpur on Wednesday morning.  

The victims, who were identified as Mohammad Sharif Zawrawala (70) and Imran Yousufbhai Zawrawala (24), were sleeping when the ceiling of the house collapsed at around 9.00 am. Other nine members of the Zawrawala family — staying in the same house "Firoze Manjil'- managed to escape.

The Zawrawala's run a handicraft business and had built the house in 1974. Eyewitness and neighbour of Zawrawala, Saira Mohammad Hanif, said she was at her home when she heard a bang.
