Two inmates of Palayamkottai Jail near here were injured in a clash while gambling inside the prison here late last night.
Police said the injured John Britto and Viswanathan had been admitted to Hospital and their condition was stated to be stable.
Police said seven inmates were gambling when a wordy duel broke out between Britto and Clinton.Their supporters then clashed in which the two were injured. The jail wardens rescued them, a prison official said.
A case has been registered.
