Tiger found dead in Bandhavgarh reserve

A one-year-old tiger was found dead in the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve's range 248, forest officials said on Tuesday.

The tiger was found dead on the Mardari way in the range number 248, deputy director of the Reserve Mridul Pathak told reporters in Umaria.

Bruises and injury marks, found on the tiger's carcass indicated that some other large tiger might have inflicted injuries on him out of territorial rivalry and the animal might have been killed following a fight he said, adding that further investigations are on.
