Three NDFB militants werekilled in an encounter with security forces in Assam's Udalguri district today, police said.
Acting on a tip-off about the presence of a group of three militants, a joint team of the police and army launched a joint operation in Jaonlia village under Majbat police station of the district early this morning.
An encounter followed for more than an hour in which the three militants were killed.
One AK-47 revolver, a nine mm pistol, 14 rounds of ammunition of AK-series, nine rounds of ammunition of nine mm series, 12 empty cartridge shells and several writing pads containing NDFB name were recovered from the slain militants.
