Three persons were killed when fire-crackers which they were manufacturing in a house exploded at Chinguri village in East Midnapore district this morning.
The police said the mud-built house caught fire under the impact of the explosion as the tiled roof was blown away.
Local people initially tried to put out the fire by sprinkling water, but when the efforts proved inadequate, they called the fire brigade.
