Three held for running human trafficking racket in Delhi

Three persons, including a former CRPF constable, were arrested in the capital for allegedly running a human trafficking racket using forged documents, police said today.
 
The arrested have been identified as Jaideep Singh, 38, the gang leader, Sanjay, 42, the former CRPF constable, and Balbir Singh, 48.
 
Thirty-seven passports with forged visas and visa stickers of countries like Canada, the US, UK, New Zealand, Australia, Syria and Afghanistan were recovered from them.
 
A well-established unit for preparing forged travel documents has also been unearthed, Chhaya Sharma, deputy commissioner of police (outer), said. The first to be arrested was Jaideep who was apprehended from Rohini.
 
"The documents were forged so well that people can never make it to be fake. In addition, 30 more passports of different persons, bulk of paper material along with super fine quality colour boxes and other chemicals being used for preparing forged travel documents were recovered," Sharma said.
 
During interrogation, Jaideep confessed that he along with his associates namely Balvir, Kuldeep, Vijay and Sanjay was running a well equipped unit for preparing the forged travel documents, Sharma claimed.
 
Jaideep has been was arrested three times for committing same offences. In addition, he allegedly has three concubines and bears their all expenses, he said.
 
"Under the garb of selling second hand cars, he is doing illegal business of human trafficking, providing forged visa, other travel documents and driving licenses. He keeps on changing his residential accommodation frequently to avoid arrest," Sharma said.
 
Just 6-7 months ago, Sharma said that he along with his associates planned to establish their own full-fledged unit for preparation of forged travel documents to earn high.
 
Sanjay, whose brother Vijay is also associate in this case case, belongs to Darjeeling. His late father Kishan Kumar was employed in CISF and retired as Sub Inspector.
 
"Sanjay was also employed in CRPF as a Constable for about eight years. Since he was not satisfied with his salary, he left the job and took to the job of preparing forged documents under the control of Jaideep," Sharma said.
 
Jaideep used keep changing his residence at short intervals. "He does not disclose the address of his workplace to any of his gang members or links and even his own family to avoid any follow up by law enforcement agencies," Sharma said.
