Three children drowned, bridge collapses cuttting off villages in Haryana

Three children were drowned today when they went to take a bath in a village pond in the district where a one-year-old bridge collapsed due to heavy rains cutting off several villages.
 
Yakibe, 8, Tahir, 9 and Sharif, 9 were drowned when they had gone to take a bath in a pond at Sherpur Majra village, about 40 kms from here, police said.
 
The bodies of the three children have been recovered, they said.
 
Meanwhile, a 30 ft bridge over Dadupur Nalvi canal in the district collapsed cutting off several villages.
 
The bridge had been inaugurated only a year back, official sources said.
