Ten persons sentenced to life in a murder case

A local court today sentenced ten persons to life imprisonment in a murder case five years ago.

The Additional District and Sessions Judge SK Srivastava passed the order sentencing the ten accused for the murder of one Vinod Das, a native of Badi Pakhra village under Phulidumar police circle area on August 28, 2005.

According to the prosecution, Das was mercilessly beaten with lathis by the convicted persons leading to his death following dispute over landed property.
