Teenager molested, beaten to death in Ahmedabad

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly beaten to death on Saturday morning by three men in Anandnagar.

The whole incident was the outcome of a clash that took place between her brother and the accused five days ago, when the girl's brother resisted the trio from molesting his sister. On Saturday morning, the three accused assaulted the brother-sister duo in which the victim was brutally murdered.

The minor girl identified as Gita Kharadi, originally from Udaipur, was working as a construction labourer along with her brother at Ratnakar building in Jodhpur. At 7.45am, while they were working, three men identified as Pravin, Karan and Kanti, all natives of Dungarpur in Rajasthan, assaulted the duo.

The in-charge police inspector of Anandnagar police station, MJ Badmaliya said, "The accused Pravin attacked Gita and her brother with bricks. He hit Gita with a brick on her forehead and chest. She was critically injured and was taken to the VS Hospital where she died during treatment."

Badmaliya further said that a police patrolling team passing through the area saw the accused fleeing from the spot and arrested him. The incident, he confirmed, was the fall out of the molestation incident that took place five days back.

Cops said that Gita was molested by main accused Pravin. When Gita's brother came to know of the incident, he threatened Pravin to stay away from his sister in front of public. Pravin had developed a grudge against the brother-sister duo since then and on Saturday he, along with his two other friends, attacked them.
