The teenaged girl, who brought the two-year-old battered girl to AIIMS in a serious condition, is being provided counselling at a juvenile home in Delhi.
Women and Child Welfare Minister Kiran Walia said her department was taking care of the girl and she was being provided counselling twice daily so that she could recover from the trauma of alleged sexual abuse.
"We will take all care of the girl. She is being given counselling by experts," Walia said.
The teenaged girl had brought baby Falak to AIIMS on January 18 in a critical condition. Falak is now fighting a grim battle for life as she has been affected by a brain infection, according to a doctor in AIIMS.
The teenaged girl, hailing from Sangam Vihar in South Delhi, had eloped from her house alleging that her father used to physically torture her.
The father of the girl and two others have been arrested for allegedly abandoning her and forcing her into prostitution, police said today.
Walia said the girl is in a bad mental state and government would help her in every possible way.
