Teacher held for sexually harassing girl student in AP

A teacher sexually harassed a girl student has been reported in the heart of the city yesterday, police said today. The incident follows within one week of Luther Junior Degree College incident, where cases of sexual harassment of girls have been reported earlier, police said.

The accused, Dayasagar, who teaches in a corporate school, which is organising tuitions for poor girl students in the Shamala Nagar area, has been arrested. He asked the victim, who is studying class IX, to stay back for extra classes, as she would be entering class X the next year.
    
Dayasagar then tried to show a blue film to the girl to force her to do as shown in the film. When she refused to do the same, he forced her. But she managed to escape and reached her house and reported the same to her parents. The girl's father lodged a complaint against Dayasagar in Prakasam Nagar police station.
