Tata Sky launches seven new channels on its platform

Leading direct-to-home (DTH) broadcaster, Tata Sky, today announced the launch of seven new channels on its platform.

Presently, Tata Sky offers over 170 channels and interactive services, including a mix of niche lifestyle and entertainment, news and regional movies, to its4.5-million subscribers.

The new channels include Discovery Turbo, Discovery Science, ET Now, Zee Talkies, 24 Taas, 24 Ghanta and Sony Aath, the company said in a press release.

"As a customer-focused brand, the new channel addition reconfirms our commitment to add the very best to Tata Sky's growing portfolio of channels," Tata Sky's CEO and managing director, Vikram Kaushik, said.

The company, a joint venture between Star and Tata Group, had recently launched another innovative interactive service, Active English, to enhance conversational English amongst Indian housewives.
