"One Pakistani spy was arrested at the IGI airport yesterday," Union home secretary GK Pillai told PTI.

He said the foreign national was arrested for spying for Pakistan government and passing on defence secrets. Further investigations in the case are on, Pillai said.

Asked if the arrest had any connection with the on going investigations into the trails of terror suspect David Headley arrested by FBI or his co-accused Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a Canadian of Pakistan origin, Pillai said it did not have any connection with the probe.

Official sources said security agencies have seized some documents and photographs from him.

The arrested Pakistani national has been identified as Mohd Sayeed, sources said. Sayeed was caught by the Immigration officials at the IGI airport yesterday.

"He has been handed over to Delhi police's Special Cell by the Immigration officials for further investigations," a senior police official said.
