Suri's killer may have fled Andhra Pradesh: Police

Bhanu Kiran, the prime suspect in the killing of Maddelacheruvu Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri, who continued to evade the police might have fled out of Andhra Pradesh, a top police officer said today.

Bhanu Kiran, the prime suspect in the killing of Maddelacheruvu Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri, who continued to evade the police might have fled out of Andhra Pradesh, a top police officer said today.

"We are pursuing the Suri (murder) case. He (Bhanu) might have gone out of Andhra Pradesh," state director general of police K Aravinda Rao said.

Suri, a faction leader from Anantapur district in Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, who was the prime accused in the murder of TDP MLA Paritala Ravi, was shot dead by gunmen in his car in Yousufguda here on January 3 and police strongly suspect Bhanu's involvement in his murder.

Special police teams have already been despatched to Bangalore and other places to nab Bhanu, who was also a close aide of Suri. The police had yesterday searched the house of Bhanu Kiran in Anantapur city and later sealed it.

The CCS police which has been investigating the case is probing the fund deals and land deals involving Suri, a senior police officer said.
