With Congress alleging total lack of development in Punjab under SAD-BJP rule, deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today invited party's leaders to visit the project sites and see for themselves.
"Congress leaders will be treated as state guests and accompanied by a top officer so that they can see for themselves the real state of affairs vis-a-vis development activities in Punjab," Sukhbir told reporters.
Extending an invitation to Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh and Leader of the opposition Rajinder Kaur Bhattal among others, he asked them to visit sites of the development works and projects including thermal power plants, national highways, link roads and fly overs if they had doubts about development in the state.
"The Congress leaders should have the courage to accept the invtation and explain to the media later what they see," he added.
