Srilankan Refugees demand more facilities in camps

Erode: As part of hearing grievances of Sri Lankan Tamil refugees and examining the conditions, Tamil Nadu government officials visited three camps in Erode district.

Erode district ollector R Sudalaikannan visited the Arachalure and Eanchampalli camps which houses 625 and 300 Tamil refugees respectively and enquired about their problems, yesterday.

In Bhavanisagar, Mayakrishnan, district revenue officer inspected the camp where 3965 refugees were housed. They demanded better medical services while some wanted education loan for their children.

Revenue officials said proper food and health care are being provided to the Srilankan Tamil Refugees in all the three camps.
