Jharkhand's chief minister-elect, Shibu Soren, who will take oath on Wednesday, was today asked to take a floor test by January 8, a Raj Bhavan communiqué said.
In the 81-member assembly, Soren's coalition has 44 legislators with JMM having 18, BJP 18, JD(U) 2, AJSU 5 and one from Jharkhand Janadhikar Manch.
The time of oath-taking on December 30 has also been rescheduled from 2 pm to 10.30 am, it said.
Soren had been asked to form government by the governor K Sankaranaryanan yesterday.
