The state government is all set to notify the rules for the implementation of the much awaited Act for regularization of unauthorized constructions.
The formal announcement and the notification is likely to be issued on February 20, sources in the state government indicated. The move will regularise nearly 25 lakh unauthorised constructions in the state, out of which around 5 lakh are in Ahmedabad city alone.
Sources in the state government said, "The deadlock situation between the revenue and the urban development departments has been cleared. Now the rules for calculating the impact fees and other issues like what kind of unauthorised constructions will be regularised, what could be the impact fee, how it would be counted etc, remain."
