External affairs minister SM Krishna today held separate bilateral meetings with his Russian and Chinese counterparts and discussed with them the upcoming visits to India of Dmitry Medvedev and Wen Jiabao.
Krishna arrived in the central Chinese city earlier in the day for tomorrow's trilateral meeting between foreign ministers of Russia, India, China (RIC).
Soon after his arrival, Krishna met his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
Officials said the talks focussed on the forthcoming visit of Russian President Medvedev to India as well as other issues of mutual interest and concerns.
Krishna later met Chinese foreign minister Yang Jeichi and discussed a host of issues with him, including the preparations being made for next month's visit of Chinese Premier Wen. India hopes China would address all its concerns, including the issues related to stapled visas being issued to residents of Jammu and Kashmir, during Wen's visit.
Details of Krishna's talks with the two foreign ministers were not immediately available.
