Jammu: A case has been registered against Hafiza Begum, widow of Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HUJI) Feroz Ahmed alias "Dawood", killed by security forces in a gunbattle.
The police have booked her for allegedly being involved in anti-national activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
Begum, who along with her two children, was arrested during an encounter in Nagseni area of Kishtwar district on February 4, was booked under various sections of Ranbir Panel Code for anti-national activities in Dacchan police station, a police officer said.
27-year-old Begum had married Dawood three years ago and the couple had two children. She used to work as an over ground worker and transport weapons and explosive materials. She was also trained in handling of weapons.
Dawood and his two accomplices-- Nazir Ahamed alias Abdu Furqan and Mohammad Ishaq-- were killed in the gunbattle with security forces at Nagseni area in Kishtwar district on February 4.
