Six killed, 15 injured in Bihar road mishaps

Six people, including three women, were killed and three others seriously injured when a jeep carrying them overturned after the driver lost control over it at Kataniya bridge in Bhojpur district's Ara town late last night.

Six persons were killed and 15 others, including 12 kanwariyas, were injured in separate road accidents in Bihar's Bhojpur and Lakhisarai districts, police said today.

The injured were rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital, they said.

Twelve kanwariyas (Shiv devotees) were injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling smashed into a roadside tree while overtaking a truck at Sharma village in Lakhisarai today, police said.

The injured were admitted to a government hospital at Lakhisarai where the condition of eight of them was stated to be critical, they said.
