Six die, 10 injured after being hit by lightning in Saurashtra

Six people including a 10-year-old boy died, while ten others were injured, after they were hit by lightning in different parts of Saurashtra region today, police said.

The region recorded unseasonal rains today due to low pressure area formed over the state.

Three members of a family died in Lilisajadiyari village of Rajkot district after being hit by lightning while they were working in the fields, police said.

In, Bhavnagar a 10-year-old boy and a woman, while in Surendranagar district a man died and four others were injured after being hit by lightning.

Six persons were injured due to lightning in Rangpara village of Rajkot district, according to officials.
