Jharkhand chief minister Shibu Soren today presided a cabinet meeting for 90 minutes, a day after getting himself admitted in a hospital complaining of chest discomfort, and approved 18 proposals.
Soren, who was discharged last night from the Abdur Razzak Weavers Memorial Hospital, met the cabinet at his residence in Ranchi.
The discomfort in his chest had prevented Soren from attending a meeting of chief ministers convened by Union home minister P Chidamabaram in Kolkata yesterday. He sent his two deputies — Raghuvar Das and Sudesh Mahto instead.
The medical supertintendent of the hospital PD Sinha had yesterday said Soren was admitted to the hospital with complaints of chest discomfort and underwent various tests.
"The reports were okay. But, the doctors will keep him under observation for 48 hours," Sinha had said.
