An alert has been sounded, and security tightened in the Indo-Nepal border areas, following reports that terrorists had infiltrated into Bihar from the neighbouring country, officials said.
Commandant in-charge of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Mukesh Gehlot today said that security was stepped in the border areas, following reports from Bihar that foreign terrorists had infiltrated into the country through Nepal.
"Special vigil is being maintained," Gehlot said here, adding that jawans have also launched combing operations.
Twenty-one chowkis were constituted, and seven command offices set up for their monitoring, he said.
