Science Utsav looks at chemistry in service of society

To mark the occasion of National Science Day, which falls on February 28, the Gujarat Council of Science City, working under the aegis of the Dept of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat, commenced on Friday a week-long celebration at Science City, titled, 'Science Utsav 2011', which will continue till March 3.

Celebrations also included silver jubilee festivities of the Gujarat Science Congress (GSC), themed on 'Chemistry in the service of society'. Dr PK Ghosh, director, Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI), Bhavnagar, delivered the keynote address which was followed by an inaugural speech by Ravi S Saxena, IAS, additional chief secretary, DST, government of Gujarat.
