The accused in the Satyam fraud case today completed their arguments seeking discharge from the multi-crore accounting scam case in the IT firm.

So far, nine of the accused have completed their arguments seeking discharge from the Satyam case before the court and accused number seven G Ramakrishna argued in person today.

Seeking discharge, Ramakrishna, who worked as vice-president (finance) in Satyam Computers, argued before the XXI Additional chief metropolitan magistrate (ACCM) that there was no material, evidence against him to be implicated in the case.

"There are no documents and statements over falsification of accounts and to implicate my name in the charge sheets filed by the CBI," Ramakrishna, the former employee of Satyam Computers, informed the court while representing himself.

"The charge sheet does not say who was cheated and cheated
for what," he claimed, adding "there is no evidence to prove my involvement in the case."

As part of hearing of arguments prior to framing of charges, Ramakrishna along with nine other accused, including the prime accused and former chairman of Satyam Computers B Ramalinga Raju, (who is facing charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery and falsification of accounts), had countered CBI's allegations saying the charges against them were groundless.

After completion of Ramakrishna's arguments, magistrate BVLN Chakravarti asked the CBI's special public prosecutor K Surendra to submit certain clarifications on the agency's allegations in a specific way and then posted the matter to tomorrow.
