The Congress today alleged that after the deposition by Swami Aseemanand, allegedly involved in Samjhauta Express blast, before a court it was clear that RSS and BJP were sheltering people involved in terrorist activities.

"It is Sanghi terrorism," Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh charged.

He said that those involved with Malegaon blast accused Sunil Joshi were being murdered.

"Sunil Joshi case should be investigated by a central agencies as the local police will not be able to investigate properly," Singh said.

"Congress is of the view that extremists, whether Hindu or Muslim, are a threat to the country's unity and they should be dealth with strongly," he said.

Digvijay Singh said opposition parties were attacking the government but Congress had always taken a tough stand on the issue of corruption.

"CBI inquiry was ordered when allegations were levelled against Commonwealth Games organising committee officials and similarly in Adarsh Housing Society scam a political decision was taken and the chief minister had to go," he said.

Singh said several things were being said about the second generation mobile telephony spectrum allocation scam but the policy of first-come-first-serve basis in licence allotment was framed during NDA rule.

"There was lack of transparency in allotment of licences, which resulted in complaints on which a CBI inquiry was ordered in 2009 and resignation of A Raja was taken," he said.

He said justification behind the opposition's demand for JPC probe into second generation mobile telephony spectrum allocation was beyond understanding.

"They did not allow Parliament to function and only politicised the issue. When PAC, which is a constitutional committee, will probe the matter, there is no justification behind JPC demand," he said.

Singh said that as far as price rise was concerned, states should taken an initiative.

"As far as rise in prices of vegetables, fruits and onions are concerned, the Centre cannot do anything and an initiative has to be taken by the states," he said.

On the rise in petrol prices, the Congress leader said the decision to deregulate was taken during NDA rule.

"The state and the Centre should also consider to cut taxes being levied on petrol," he said.

Accusing the Uttar Pradesh government of failing to act against hoarders, Singh said states should take action against hoarding.
