Sahara India's branch manager shot dead in Bihar

Branch Manager of Sahara India was today shot dead by unidentified persons who looted Rs9 lakh from him near Rahsa village under Bhagwanpur police station in Bihar's Vaishali district, police sources said.

Three motorcycle-borne gunmen stopped Praveen Kumar, manager of Bhagwanpur branch of Sahara India, when he was returning to the bank after collection and fired from close range, killing him on the spot, sources said.

They looted a bag containing Rs nine lakh from him and managed to flee, they said.

Raids were on in the area to nab the culprits, sources added.
