The Russian girl, who had alleged rape by a high-profile Goa politician John Fernandes, today claimed she was fired from her job by a five-star hotel management where she was employed as a 'representative'.
The girl claimed that when she went to inquire on when she can resume the duty, she was told to leave the job.
"They told me that they have been instructed by a senior politician to fire me and ask me to leave the country by tomorrow," she said.
"They said that I was a good worker, but they are helpless and can't allow me to continue in the service," she said.
The 25-year-old Russian girl was allegedly raped by a south Goa-based politician John Fernandes on December 1.
John had unsuccessfully contested for the 2007 Goa Legislative Assembly elections from the Benaulim constituency from Save Goa Front party, floated by public works department minister Churchill Alemao.
The accused, who was granted anticipatory bail by the court today surrendered before the crime branch, which is investigating the case. Police stated that medical examination was conducted on him.
