The RJD on Tuesday castigated Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for being insensitive to the plight of the Muslims and said that he was being 'remote controlled' by the Sangh Parivar to ignore the problems of the minority community.

"Kumar proclaims to be a well wisher of the minority community by wearing skull caps at public functions and nurses a secular image for himself, but when it comes to apply balm to the grieving families of the muslim men and women killed at the hands of the police or the Maoists, both the Chief Minister and the government has been found wanting," the Leader of Opposition in the legislative council Gulam Gaus told reporters.

Even in the latest instance in Pipradih-Kanauhi village in Jamui district where seven members of minority community were killed by the Maoists last month, the state government discriminated among the slain people by giving compensation to the families of only four of them, Gaus, who returned from a fact finding tour to the village, said.
