LJP president Ram Vilas Paswan today prayed for the well-being of the three cops in Maoists' captivity for a week and appealed to the ultras to release the policemen at the earliest.
"I pray for the well being of the three cops being held by the Maoists and appeal to them to release the policemen," he told reporters at an Iftar party hosted by him at the LJP state unit office here.
"Let the better sense prevail among the Maoists for the release of three cops being held hostage by them for over a week," Paswan said elaborating on his prayer on the occasion.
The LJP chief said chief minister Nitish Kumar lacked a strategy to seek release of the cops and engage the Maoists in dialogue.
