The Rajya Sabha will discuss tomorrow the radiation exposure incident in Mayapuri scrap market in New Delhi in which eight persons were scalded.

A Calling Attention motion given by Kalraj Mishra (BJP), D Raja (CPI) and Mahendra Mohan (SP) on the issue has been admitted in the Rajya Sabha and is listed for discussion tomorrow.

The House will discuss the situation arising out of the incidents of radiation exposure detected in a scrap market in Delhi and government's reaction thereto.

Eight persons were injured due to exposure to radioactive substance Cobalt-60 in Mayapuri. The incident came to light on April 9.

Nuclear scientists isolated 11 sources of radiation over a period of seven days before declaring the area safe on Saturday.
