"BJP-Shiv Sena will form the government in Maharashtra as the situation is against the Congress in that state," Singh told reporters here last evening at the airport.

Singh was on his way to Mumbai from Arunachal Pradesh and had halted for a while at Bhopal airport for refuelling.

The leader denied reports of internal differences among party leaders in Maharashtra, saying the atmosphere is in favour of the saffron alliance in the state.

Singh, who did not talk at length on any issue other than Maharashtra polls, refused to comment on re-entry of former Madhya Pradesh chief minister, Uma Bharti in the BJP.

Responding to a question, he praised Madhya Pradesh government and said that there was no need for any change in the leadership in the state.
