The family of Rajbala, who died after being injured in the midnight crack down on Ramdev and his supporters, on Thursday held the Delhi Police more responsible than the state government for the incident.

"The government is also responsible but the police is even more responsible. Whatever crackdown took place, it could have happened during the day also," said Jagdir Malik, Rajbala's husband.

He was reacting to the Supreme Court's order today directing prosecution of police personnel involved in the crackdown.

The court also awarded a compensation of Rs five lakh to the family of Rajbala. Twenty five per cent of the amount would come from Ramdev's trust.

"We don't want the money in the first place even if my kids ask me or Ramdev asks me," said Malik.

Rajbala, 52, an activist of Ramdev's movement against black money, died in a Delhi hospital after battling for life for nearly 114 days. She had suffered severe injuries during the crackdown.

Asked if the yoga guru had tried contacting him after the Supreme Court's order, Malik replied in the negative.
