The Rajasthan unit of the BJP today expelled 12 activists from the party for contesting against the official nominees in the recent Panchayati Raj elections in the state.

The party took a serious view of their activists contesting against the official candidates and had expelled them from the primary membership, state BJP chief Arun Chaturvedi said in a release here.
