Gehlot directed officials to take all preventive measures to tackle the disease including increasing number of prescribed chemist shops for early availability of swine flu drugs and set up a control room to get information related to disease.

He cautioned the officials that no negligence in this regard would be tolerated and directed that swine flu cases be treated seperately.

"A team of junior doctors should be constituted to make the people aware about the disease," Gehlot said and added hoardings should also be put up indicating the symptoms of the flu.

Underlining the need to use electronic and print media for creating awareness about the disease, Gehlot also directed to open more counters for immediate availability of the medicine and such shops be permitted to remain open 24 hours.
