Rajasthan ATS takes custody of Jaipur bomb blast accused

The Rajasthan's Anti Terror Squad today took into custody an accused in the Jaipur bomb blast case who was lodged in the Tihar jail after being arrested by the Uttar Pradesh ATS in a different matter.
 
The Rajasthan ATS had submitted an application before the court of chief judicial magistrate here to seek custody of Salman on production warrant.
 
The court today granted permission to the ATS to arrest Salman. The ATS will now produce him before the court tomorrow to seek his police remand, a senior ATS official said.
 
"We today took custody of Salman, who was involved in planting bombs in Jaipur on May 13 2008, through production warrant," additional SP (Rajasthan ATS) Satyendra Singh said.
 
Four of the 11 accused in the case -- Shahbaz, Sarwar, Saif and Saifur -- had already been arrested.
 
"Two other accused Atif and Chota Sazid were killed in Batla house encounter while the rest four Arif, Khalid, Aariz and Bada Sazid are absconding," Singh said.
