Heavy rains are likely to lash a few places in Tamil Nadu during the next 24 hours beginning 8 am today due to the presence of trough of low pressure inland, the MET office said here.
Various places in Tamil Nadu experienced spells of rain today, they said.
Interior parts of Tamil Nadu are likely to experience heavy showers while Chennai city would be generally cloudy.
