One of the many victims of the Pune rampage, Varsha Damale, 24, has been admitted to Chaitanya Institute of Orthopedic Rehabilitation centre in Pune.
Varsha, works in the telemarketing wing of Just Dial and was travelling in a Piaggio rickshaw when a mentally ill man went on a rampage killing 9, and injuring many others.
The rickshaw Varsha was travelling in turned turtle when the bus hit it from opposite side.
Varsha injured her right pelvic bone and has got six stitches on her forehead. Varsha has a younger brother and sister. She comes from a financially weak family.
Dr Mahesh Gaikwad who’s treating her at the centre said, "She needs rest for four days in the hospital and one and half months at home. She has a problem lifting her leg and might have problem resuming work for first few months."
