Prisoners appear for Uttar Pradesh board exams

Jail superintendent (Ghaziabad) VK Singh said that 26 inmates from the Ghaziabad jail and ten from Saharanpur, Meerut and Muzzafarnagar prisons took the examinations.

Thirty-six jail inmates in Meerut division today appeared for UP Board High School and intermediate examinations.

They appeared for the Hindi paper as the examinations got underway today.

Jail superintendent (Ghaziabad) VK  Singh told PTI that 26 inmates from the Ghaziabad jail and ten from Saharanpur, Meerut and Muzzafarnagar prisons took the examinations.

Twenty appeared for the intermediate and 16 for high school examinations, he said.

Ghaziabad district magistarte R Ramesh Kumar said all facilities to study in jails would be provided to the examinees.
