Principal of a secondary school was today arrested for allegedly opening fire with his licenced revolver to intimidate students in Uttar Pradesh's Shrawasti district.

Raj Kumar Yadav, the principal of Ram Dulary Higher secondary school in Shyam Nagar Nadona village, was screening the students appearing in the examinations when he slapped one of them following which he started bleeding, police said.

As others protested, the principal opened fire in the air to intimidate them, they said, adding he has been arrested and his revolver seized.
