Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati on Friday alleged the previous governments in Uttar Pradesh were corrupt and did nothing to improve the lot of the people.
"The non-BSP governments led by the Congress, the BJP and the SP are responsible for backwardness of UP as they have no interest in improving the lot of the people.
"On coming to power, they indulged in corruption and worked for their own interests," she told a string of election rallies.
The BSP supremo alleged the opposition parties were using every trick to harm her party politically.
She asked the people to reject such parties at the hustings.
Mayawati asked voters not to heed to opinion polls which, she said, were misleading the people.
