DCB had questioned all of them for few hours on Friday.
Sources in the DCB told DNA that it had summoned almost everyone connected to the case. This included parents of the students, who used the dummy writers, and those who tried to help them. Sources said Kotak and Patel were thoroughly questioned in connection with the case.
A source in the crime branch said Kotak and Patel are accused of helping their children get dummy writers for the 2008 HSC board examination.
"They have been questioned to know about the role, if any, that they played in the case," a source said. The source also said that nine other people have been summoned and they will also be questioned in the coming few days.
The source said that a doctor based in Surat, who was summoned, failed to show up. The doctor apparently was out of the town and had not reported it to the DCB. However, he is likely to make a visit in the next few days.
A source said that director, Swastik Group of Schools Raja Pathak, then GSHSEB secretary HN Chavda, trustee, HB Kapadia, Memnagar, Muktak Kapadia and doctors connected with the case had also been summoned. The police investigations in the case were re-started following an order of the Gujarat high court after a public interest litigation was filed by Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Manish Doshi.
Harsh Kotak, son of Pravin Kotak and Komal Patel daughter of Sanjay Patel were caught red-handed by then GSHSEB chairman RK Pathak and principal secretary, education, P Paneervel for using dummy writers in the HSC board examinations. The two had faked an injury to get the writers.
