Political leaders and Bollywood beauty of yesteryear, all hail Modi for his initiative

Jharkhand CM Arjun Munda
'The people of India want peace and prosperity. Mahatma Gandhi united the country during the freedom struggle, while Sardar Patel was the creator of a united India. The Sadbhavna Mission is another great initiative from Gujarat. I am amazed by the response to this rare mission. We must make efforts to spread the message of peace and harmony across the world. India's strength hasn't been fully utilised because of attempts to create divisions among people. Gujarat is trying to unite everyone with this mission. These efforts will contribute to creating a new India.'

BJP MP Hema Malini
'The large rush of people at the fast shows Narendra Modi's growing popularity. This level of popularity cannot be earned easily in any field, be it politics or arts, it needs a lot of effort. Modi has changed the face of Gujarat in the last 10 years. Development cannot be achieved by an individual, it needs collective efforts. Modi has achieved progress by bringing people of all religions together.'

TV actress and BJP MP Smriti Irani
'This Sadbhavna Mission is drawing response from across the country. The mission is aimed at spreading the message of brotherhood and we should all support it. The Congress is in a state of confusion fearing another defeat in the 2012 Gujarat assembly election. They are also worried about the 2014 (Lok Sabha election) results which is why they are repeatedly targeting Narendra Modi.

BJP’s Gujarat in-charge Balbir Punj
'Birthdays are usually meant for feasting, but Narendra Modi is fasting. Corruption is rampant in the UPA government, but Gujarat has witnessed unprecedented development in the past decade. The atmosphere of peace that has prevailed in Gujarat in the last 10 years has not been experienced in any other state.'

Former BJP president Venkaiah Naidu
The Sadbhavna Mission is a unique initiative to bring together the people. We are one and unity in diversity is our strength. Sadbhavna is the message of this exercise. The Congress keeps talking about the post-Godhra riots of 2002, but they conveniently skip the issue of 1984 anti-Sikh riots, which claimed lives of 4,000 Sikhs. Whatever has happened is gone by. Let us forget it and move ahead.
