It seems that the police have finally solved the LD Engineering College murder. The Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) arrested two people, Chirag Lalu Dobhi and Tulsiram Pasi, both residents of Shahpur in this connection. During interrogation, the duo said Manish Shah, whose body was found in the corridor of the college's hostel, was killed over the money that he borrowed from Chirag.

Sources close to the development said that Shah had borrowed over Rs2 lakh from Chirag after his business failed to take off.
This was done over a period of two years after Shah befriended him. On the night Shah was murdered, he had called Chirag for some more money as loan. Chirag called Shah to the LD Engineering College's hostel where he had also called three of his friends.

A heated argument ensued between Shah and Chirag over the money. Sources said things went out of hand and Chirag stabbed Shah. He, along with his friends, then fled the spot.

Sources said that DCB sleuths also picked up one Gadhvi in connection with the case. Manish Shah was found in a pool of blood in the corridor of the college's hostel on Saturday. All the four, despite not being students of the hostel, had obtained keys to the room.

The room is allotted to one Kaneef who revealed the names of the accused in his statement to the police. He also mentioned one Kintan Patel in connection with the murder. "Investigations are on in the case," and official said.
