The idol of Goddess Laxmi stolen from a Jain temple in Lalitpur district on March 9 night was recovered from Vidhi Chandra who had been arrested.

Police today said it has recovered a stolen idol estimated to be worth more than Rs10 million and arrested a person in this connection.
"The idol of Goddess Laxmi stolen from a Jain temple in Lalitpur district on March 9 night was recovered from Vidhi Chandra who has been arrested," Senior superintendent of police BD Paulson told reporters in Mathura today.
"The market value of the 300-year-old idol of Goddess Laxmi is stated to be over Rs10 million," he said.
