Two persons including a police constable were found dead under suspicious circumstances with bullet injuries in Adilabad district of Andhra Pradesh today, police said.

Unconfirmed reports said the cop allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself for the cause of separate Telangana state.

The deceased were identifed as G Venkatesh, 32, a constable working under Mancherial police stations limits and his relative Prashant, 28, an engineering graduate, they said.

Both the bodies were found on a bed in their house at Mancherial town with the service revolver of Venkatesh lying beside their bodies, a senior police officer said.

"As of now we cannot say whether it's a case of suicide or not. The bodies have not yet been touched, as a dog squad is on its way from Karimnagar to assist us in the investigations.

More details can be known only after the dog squad visits the scene," Mancherial DSP S Tripathi told PTI.

One of the friends of Prashant noticed the bodies after the latter did not respond to his mobile phone calls.

"Prashant and his friend were supposed to leave for Bangalore today to attend an interview," Tripathi said adding no suicide note has been found and it was premature to say if the duo killed themselves for Telangana.
